Matt Lossmann is the Head of Distribution and Partnerships at Obie, where he leads the strategy for how Obie's products reach the market. That includes the independent agent channel, aggregator and network relationships, and the platform partnerships that put Obie's coverage where investors and agents already operate. Matt has spent more than a decade in insurance distribution, and nearly all of it working directly with agents. His career spans the industry's major distribution models: captive agency, franchise networks, direct and affinity carriers, and insurtech. Having sold and built through each of them gives him a grounded view of what agents actually need from a carrier partner, and just as importantly, what wastes their time. At Obie, his focus is expanding how coverage gets written without complicating it. Whether the relationship is a single independent agency or a national network, the goal stays the same: make Obie the easiest partner an agent works with.
